Plan now for our July 19-21 Festival! Come celebrate our ties to Abraham Lincoln – and historic Route 66! Lincoln’s Festival on Route 66 offers three days of programs, most of them free.
NOTE: The location for the 1 p.m. performance of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival’s Theatre for Young Audiences has been moved from Museum Square to the the shady lawn of the Ewing Cultural Center 48 Sunset Road, Bloomington (at the corner of Emerson Street and Towanda Avenue). Free event parking is available at St. John's Lutheran Church, across the street from the Ewing Cultural Center.
Also, the times for the vintage baseball games have changed to 10:00, 11:30, 1:00 and 2:30.
Experience theatrical and living-history performances, a classic car cruise-in right in downtown Bloomington, the play Mr. Lincoln, a Civil War encampment and battle reenactments, a historic bike show, presentations by distinguished historians, exhibitions of rare Lincoln and Route 66 artifacts. live music and children’s activities.
Of course, Mr. Lincoln will again be present throughout the festival sharing his experiences as an attorney traveling the Illinois Eighth Judicial Circuit with his Bloomington friends, and for your selfies!
