AN ANNUAL BLOOMINGTON - NORMAL EVENT
Lincoln's Festival on Route 66
Trails, Rails & Roads - July 14 - 16
Family Friendly - Most Events are Free! Bigger and Better than Ever!
Our new for 2017 name and tagline speak to the festival’s expanded list of activities and venues celebrating Bloomington-Normal's interesting position at the confluence of dynamic historical events, people and movements that helped to shape our community, state and nation. The festival’s broadened scope embraces our ties to both Mr Lincoln and Route 66 as part of the Red, White and Blue Corridor of summer events taking place along historic Route 66.
Lincoln’s Festival on Route 66 will highlight Trails, Rails & Roads with living history performances, car shows and cruise-ins for car enthusiasts, period crafts and children’s activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness Civil War skirmishes, explore cavalry encampments and enjoy walking tours as well as a vintage bicycle display. They’ll also encounter speakers and musicians to share the journey along the prairie path, to the steel rails, and on the Mother Road. Find out more.
